ðŸ’The suffering Son. Why suffering? Well, the long story short is, because God didn’t know what suffering meant. You see, God is the Creator of all things, not the creature. After His free will creature, man, sinned against Him after God made him all those years ago, the judgement of death was ordained as punishment for man’s sin (Genesis 3; Romans 5). As the days, months and years passed on; man couldn’t satisfy the demands of his Maker to live in absolute righteousness (as He required) both in thought and deed; every attempt by man to do so came short of God’s requirements (Romans 1:19-25; Acts 13:39); whether through religion or good deeds. However, in His infinite wisdom, He knew the limitations from man’s effort would render it impossible for him reconcile Himself back to His Maker; for this reason God initiated this act towards man when He sent His Son into the world, that His Son would become a man, to experience the suffering that His creature was subjected to all those years ago from the garden. You see, what sets the God of the holy bible apart from all other religions is this; God came down to man, versus man demanded from those gods to go to them. All religions outside of the Christian faith demand of men obedience to offer themselves in order to earn forgiveness of their sins; be it through good works or self sacrifice as taught by their traditions. The God of the holy bible only requires faith from man to trust in the sacrifice that His Son performed for them, when He paid their his sin debt on the cross of calvary all those years ago; when He offered Himself on the cross and shed His blood as the ultimate atonement for man’s sins (Romans 5:11; Colossians 1:19-21). Unlike those distant gods of man’s inventions, Jesus the Son of God became a man in order that He might suffer as a man for man’s sins that have offended God. For the first time ever in history, God learned what suffering felt like, for prior to His incarnation, He never experienced the suffering of death, nor the grief and sorrows of bearing the sins of all mankind upon Himself. The bible says of Jesus,
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.- 1 Peter 2:24 (KJB).
Jesus Christ bare the sins of the whole world in one moment of time, in order that by His sacrifice, without the aide of man’s works to assist him, He became ‘the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him’- Hebrews 5:9.
So, why do I believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God? Because He was willing to prove to me His love when He took my sins upon Himself; something which no other gods of men offered me for the salvation of my soul. Why do I beg you to trust in Him before you breath your last breath, because He alone has been provided by God as your Saviour, none else. The bible says that it was the ‘love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us,’- Titus 3:3-4; that is to say that it was God’s mercy that compelled Him to send His Son into this world to die for our sins. God’s mercy for you and God’s love for you. There was no other way possible for God to save our soul, then by sending His only begotten Son into our world that He would become one of us, live as a perfect sinless man, that He as a man would ‘taste death for every man’- Hebrews 2:9. Would you receive this Saviour in your heart as your personal Lord and Saviour? Please do so before it’s too late. I present to you, Jesus, the Son of God who suffered for you, who died and was raised from the dead by God the Father to prove to you this great plan of salvation.
In love, Brother Carlos.😊
