Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil. Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; (Isa 56:1-6 KJB)

Good morning Christian friend. I’d like to share some application with you from this scripture, although it was written in context unto the nation of Israel, not the N.T Church. It is required for Christians to 'Keep ye judgment, and do justice'; But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. (1Co 2:15 KJB). Christians who forsake 'judging' themselves in accord with the bible, their church members with the bible, the world with the bible; will soon loose the ‘mind of God’ concerning His thoughts towards those things. God stated that believers are blessed who ‘doeth this, that layeth hold on it’. I have a question for you today believer. Are you taking a hold onto the Bible and keeping it’s judgements for your life today? If yes, then you’ll be blessed. If no, then you won’t be blessed. Notice how God commended the faithful Israelites who love God’s judgements enough to properly ‘keep the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.’ Could this be said of you as a Christian, concerning you properly keeping Christ’s commands for His service in the church, and keeping your hands from evil? God delights in those who do the ‘things that please me, and take hold of my covenant’; Christian friend, do you do the things which please God, and take hold of the N.T promise in Christ for His service? God said of these faithful followers, that He would reward them: ‘Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters’…concerning those ‘that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD’ and ‘taketh hold of my covenant’. Christian, one day you and I will stand before the judgement seat of Christ, to be rewarded for our works; some will be burned, some will be preserved (1 Cor 3). Could God be helping us learn from this portion of scripture?; that if we seek to be honored by Him on that day, that He seeks for us to honor Him TODAY, concerning our personal response to His covenant in Christ, and taking a ‘hold’ on Him, to serve Him and love Him? Paul wrote to Timothy long ago, ‘Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life’; and concerning his instructions for Christian conduct for his disciples “That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. (1Ti 6:12,18-19 KJB). Christian, are you ‘taking hold on eternal life’? Does Jesus Christ, and His commands to serve Him today and the rest of the days of your life, mean more to you than your hands that want to do evil and nothing for Him? Brother & sister, you don’t need to ‘wait’ for any supposed ‘sensation’ or ‘feeling’ or ‘leading of the spirit’ to do this today. All you need is a heart of love for God, ‘that stirreth up himself to take hold of’ God (Isa 64:7). So today, stir yourself up! You have the Holy Spirit, you have the holy bible, you have a local church available to serve in with a pastor to help you. But ultimately, you have yourself to stir yourself up to take a ‘hold of Jesus’ daily, and serve Him. He will honor you for all your labor for Him at the judgement seat of Christ brothers and sisters. In love- Brother Carlos
