💭Good morning Christian friend. I hope and pray all is well with you. Please don’t forget that Jesus Christ is not only our Saviour, but also our Lord too! What does it mean for Jesus Christ to be the Lord? That He is the Master; a person possessing supreme power and authority; a ruler; a governor. In scripture, the Supreme Being; the Ruler; the King. Don’t just trust Jesus as the Saviour of your soul, trust Him also as the Lord over your life as well. How do we show that He is Lord over our life? By our obedience to His words!
📜Romans 14:9 (KJB) For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
💭Jesus Christ desires for His disciples to follow after His example, in service and works that would benefit our neighbor!
📜John 13:13 (KJB) Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
💭Did you know that our obedience to His commands proves our love for Him?
📜John 14:15 (KJB) If ye love me, keep my commandments.
💭This is how we can prove to ourselves that He is the Lord over our life, when we yield to His authority as the Master of our life, the Ruler of our life.
📜1 John 2:3 (KJB) And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
💭So, I encourage you to do your best to prove to the world around you that you truly belong not just to Jesus Christ the Saviour, but to Jesus Christ the Lord; by yielding to His commandments. By submitting yourself to His commandments, you will demonstrate to others that He truly has authority over your life today; and truly when we live yielded to Him, our life can be a benefit to those around us, since our love for God would help produce love for our neighbor as well.
