Deuteronomy 5:29 (KJV) O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!
Christian friend, here is another great lesson for us to learn. I’d like to share some application with you from this O.T Text although it was written in context unto the nation of Israel, not the N.T Church. It’s always been a matter of the heart, not just for God’s expectations for His people Israel, but even us as the body of Christ. He desires us to love Him whole-heartedly, that we might abide in His joy & love. John 14:15 (KJV) If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 13:17 (KJV) If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. Jesus said that His joy would impart unto our soul to feel his joy, as well as happiness. So what’s the key to being a happy Christian? No it’s not tithing (for those churches who want yo $$ LoL), it’s not simply just going to church. The way to maintain happiness as a Christian is being a doer of the word, not just a hearer (James 1:25 Kjv). In love- Brother Carlos.
