Heirship in Christ does NOT exempt the child of God from sufferings, tribulations, trials or temptations. Rather, heirship in Christ empowers us the capability to partake in Christ’s holiness in maintaining righteous living, in the midst of them.
ï¸The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Ro 8:16-18 KJB)
ï¸Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (2Pe 1:1-4 KJB)
The grace of our inheritance in Christ provides Christians the inheritance of partaking of Christ’s nature right now while we’re still living in this body of flesh.
ï¸For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. (Ro 14:17 KJB)
Notice, the spiritual blessings of our inheritance available for our partaking in right now; ‘righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost’. Christian friend, your blessings are spiritual, NOT physical. Christ’s grace did not open the windows of heaven for your financial prosperity, your healing prosperity, your physical prosperity. God provided you with His Son’s Spirit, so you can partake in His Son’s nature every single day for the rest of your life, so sin doesn’t have to be your only option, or rebellion, or backsliding, or falling. The grace of Christ has provided you with the ability to obey the will of God for your life, not with inability. So, what are you waiting for? ‘now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
ï¸The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.’- Romans 13:11-14.
In love- Brother Carlos.
