Hey Christian friend, I pray all is well with you. I have a ? for you. Are you satisfied with the words of God, or do you find your mouth not wanting to swallow it’s truth? Have you been eating more of this world’s words than God’s words? Do you find yourself buying more profane things, unclean things, sensual things from this world more than ‘with all thy getting; get wisdom’ Prov 4:7 ?. Jesus told Christians long ago, “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see”- Rev 3:18. How do we get there at times in our walk with God? When did we allow ourselves to desire more of this world, than His heavenly word? Well, the answer is simple; “He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding. The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility”- Prov 15:32-33. We ‘stopped our ears’ Act 7:57; ‘we’ve closed our own eyes, we closed our own ears, we stopped our own heart from seeking Him’ Matt 13:15. This my friend, is why your heart, your mind, your spirit hasn’t healed yet: because you’re not letting Jesus convert you. Can I encourage you friend, Jesus’s words are not like your family’s words, your friends words, or even you ‘church’s words that at times pierce you, condemn you, and shame you for your disobedience. Jesus’ words ‘heal’ Prov 12:18; Matt 13:15. Today, would you please come back to God with that broken heart Ps 34:18, and let God’s compassion embrace you again Lu 15:20. Would you trust Him with your heart again, and agai etc. for the rest of your life? His word is meant to keep you from shame, guilt, condemnation that sin beguiles you to believe ‘satisfies’ you with Rom 6:17-23. It’s easy to find pleasure again in God’s words, but you have to repent from the words of this world. Happy Christians are those who let Jesus keep them satisfied and filled with His word. Bitter Christians are those who refuse to let Jesus keep them satisfied, because someone else crept in with ‘artificial joy’. Friend, please let Jesus feed you again, so your joy would be replenished’ These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.- John 15:11. In love- Brother Carlos.
